Appreciate this post. I’m a child of the late 80s and remember having access to this movie. Being raised by my grandparents they never would have purchased this on vhs. Unfortunately this would air I believe on the Warner Brothers network after Saturday morning or either weekday cartoons. I never would have guessed it had a PG rating but that explains how it would follow children cartoons. Tragic that this happened to her and continues.
