Not a huge jump from there to the comparable freedom of the META avatar…
This reminds me of a video I saw based in Tokyo. They have small hidden spaces in Cafes where homeless people live. And they described living in them as basically being completely hidden in plain site. People in the comments made good points about Tokyo being a real cyberpunk city. The bright neon lights hides so much and they even address this in the anime Akira which was made in the 80s.
So, like the Korean movie Parasite.
