Sméagol doing the one eye in The Two Towers

This is the scene where they finally reach “the black gate of Mordor” where the witch kings and their orcs live.

It really suits Sméagol since he betrayed them in the end.

I mean if you were gonna point this out, it seems like a glaring omission to not mention that the primary antagonist is a literal giant, flaming, disembodied eye.

Gollum was absolutely never not going to “betray” them, anyway. It was obvious who he was and what he wanted from the start.
