Surrealistic pillow by Jefferson Airplane (RCA Victor, circa 1967)

When the LSD days were in full swing, one of the band members covers an eye.

Coincidence or no coincidence?

Contains the hit single “Dont you need somebody to love?”

What do you think?

The fingers position on the banjo seem pretty awkward
They do make the perfect or 666 sign but it could be another signal.

I e-mailed this site owner, well a couple times over the years and never received a response. One e-mail was in regard to this very album cover. I picked up on all the symbolism. I asked the question, since this came out in the 60’s, just how far back have you been able to spot the symbolism in Hollywood films, music, etc. Very curious to see the earliest examples. May be able to trace it back to specific company or studio or person.
