A man identified by neighbors as a member of the wealthy Rothschild family died following a fire at a two-story hillside home in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday.
Crews responded to the 8500 block of Lookout Mountain Avenue around 4:40 p.m. A total of 45 firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 33 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters found a man dead inside the home. Officials have not released the man’s name, but neighbors identified him as Will Rothschild of the powerful banking family.

Lookout Mountain Avenue? In Laurel Canyon? Seems significant somehow.
Yes, that is very significant. Laurel Canyon has its own weird vibe. Occult and witchcraft activity have been rumored around there for years. The Manson Family was up there in the 60’s, as was a significant number of the peace and love crowd from that era. (Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Jackson Browne, and Frank Zappa) Oh and lots of homes burned down back then (under suspicious circumstances, too. Lastly, it was the scene of one of the most infamous murders in LA history, the Wonderland Drive killings in 1981. They made a movie about that “Wonderland” back in 2003.
As for Lookout Mountain, there was an Air Force facility, Officially, it was used for production of Department of Defense films, both movies and still projects. But other rumors were that the Army or perhaps the CIA were engaging in psy-ops in that canyon as well. It was decommissioned and used as a rehab facility, now its owned by Jared Leto.

But back to this article. When a news item is this obviously farcical, I like to look for key phrases in it, in particular the allegedly heartfelt quotes…

It’d be interesting to learn more about the point of origin of the fire. It could be the usual suspects like faulty wires, leaving a candle or a fireplace unattended, etc. Or it could be something more suspicious.
Rumor has it he lived alone. There is a HIGH probability it was accidental and was said to be in his 80s. The house seems like it was unkept.
