Former member of boy band "One Direction" falls off balcony in Argentina, dies.

Liam Payne of one direction (former member) has died after falling off a balcony in Argentina, he was 31.

Liam Payne was very vocal and critical about the band and specific band members, like Zayne Malik.  He once said in a podcast that Zayne was a “dick”.

Payne said he had to “go away” to rehab after the explosive criticism of the band last year and recently had emerged and uploaded a video titled “I’m back …” (linked).

The former One Direction member died after falling multiple stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday, Oct. 16, PEOPLE can confirm.
