I heard a quote from another YouTube channel on the ceremony at Gotthard tunnel and it made me think of your comment and what I thought of this video
To set up the quote in the Gotthard tunnel video there was a clock spinning out of control and the narrator explained it as the following:
” From ancient Romans celebrations or depictions of ancient civilizations that predicted the future to be an evil materialistically driven chaotic one where people will lose in touch with themselves so much that they can no longer think for themselves and are led by evil without even realizing it had taken them”
Typo. Should be “are depictions of ancient civilizations….”

Not all symbolism is bad though, surely. I think to them it’s just a celebration of their culture?
