This dirt is everywhere around us, Niko, and as things precipitate more and more in the world, we will be able to see these things easier than ever before – at every corner, in every single shop, in bus stations, in our favourite cooking or sports shows, music videos, movies, cartoons, jewelry or perfumes’ commercials… as I said, everywhere! Things are in the open, a big slap in the face!
We’re already there. I see it everywhere around me. On all food packaging too.

Depends on the context (what brand it is, how influential it is).
Perhaps the advertiser thought that one eye pose was cool.
The problem starts with the photographers, who go take lessons, and they are taught there that this type of things are cool/fun. 90% of participating people (photographers, designers, models, etc) are taught this, they just follow, they don’t question. Most businesses pay a creative team to come up with things for them. Also, it’s easier to merge the one-eye thing in something related to eyes, most people will read it as getting their eyes checked. Now, as a designer I have bigger issues with the advertisement using red, since that color usually makes your eyes feel a little of shock, but again, that was probably the purpose of it. My point? Your optician probably doesn’t even know about symbols and all of that…sadly, not everyone is truly aware of the purpose behind the “trend”.
A lot of these marketing graphics come from large graphic design houses. Someone in the chain of command trickles his or her diabolical symbolism down to the grunt workers.
This is no news, ophthalmological industry loves to use the one eye sign.
In the six six six hand gesture? You expect the eye thing but this is a bit much.
I own an optical lab manufacturing lenses for optometrists. I’m as deep in the optical industry as anyone could be. They have no idea what one eyed symbols are, they just see eyeballs and think it’s awesome. They cover themselves, their offices, social media, and everywhere ignorantly with these symbols. There are a couple of frame companies that have very occultic symbolism and it’s obvious it’s on purpose, but the optical shops have absolutely no clue.
I own an optical lab making lenses for these places, so I’m as deep in the industry as anyone can be. They are totally ignorant to what this all means. They see eyeball things and think it’s cool, plastering them all over their bodies, offices, cars, houses, you name it. There are 2 frame lines that are blatantly occultist but the rest of the non-corporate part of the industry is totally ignorant to the satanic symbolism they’re promoting. How convenient for the corporations to get their symbols in front of millions of people every day, eh?
Blink twice
I swear people are getting more homely no matter what they do to their faces they all look like they have masks on
How cute!

Fantastic find! Niko – de que parte de latino-america eres?
I’ve seen this everywhere in Colombia. It’s very sad.
I am also in Colombia and I have seen it too. The Colsubsidio (supermarket) ad a few years back had a model doing the one-eyed thing. 🙁
