Free speech is not all it’s cracked up to be.
Speech is protected by laws.
Laws come from beliefs.
Beliefs enshrined laws that allow a satanic memorial to be put up during Christmas in the name of free speech.
Free speech is not a Christian belief.
God gave us free will, it is a gift. These rights our founding fathers said were unalienable which means they come from God and are not subject to man’s laws. We are free to sin but we are then subject to the effects of that sin, the worst being alienation from God and possibly His protection. These people who put up this display may then have a right but they will suffer the consequences for their actions, both worldly and spiritually. I would suggest we pray for these poor souls who are obviously being deceived.
They will receive their reward. It’s an offence to God what they do and they’ll receive just punishment for it.
However people who are misled by them we should pray for.
Free speech is a double edge sword. Nothing can be done but to raise awareness and avoid it.
The frightening thing is that a government building should be seperate from religion. This is a government body bending over to controversy.
