The sheer amount of random people doing one eye symbols in this is blowing me away every time I see it. It’s like they tricked the masses into putting a hand in front of their eyes like in all those photos.
In this case they were showing that you cannot see the makeup and the eyebrows on the hand when you put it in front of your face like you can with all of the other filters.
I just watched a couple hundred of the “bold glamour” and “teenage filter” tiktoks last night. Most aren’t doing the “one eye” symbol. The Verge cherry picked that content because they are a part of operation mockingbird.
Most people, like Charity pointed out, are just super impressed that you can obscure and even touch your face without the filter breaking down. It is doing better than deep fakes, which require a 30 or 40 series GPU and hours to render. This is in real time. Seriously incredible.
This is setting the stage for Diminished Reality (DR) for upcoming Augmented Reality devices like whatever Apple has up their sleeves. The tech is literally here now, but it isn’t in a pair of glasses or contact lenses. As soon as people don’t need to hold a phone up to get the effect, culture will be instantly transformed.
Men will be able to convincingly look female to all the other NPCs who are on a similar AR platform.

Another thing I’ve noticed… All of the people generated by AI on Leonardo dot AI are incredibly beautiful unless the user prompted for “horror”. All ages and skin colors are fit, with tattoos and piercings being a rarity. The genders are always very easy to distinguish.
AI knows what males and females look like. The content rendered by users reflect their true tastes.
You can wear a mask, or you can hit the gym and take care of your temple so that it is the work of art it should. Thanks AI.

Make up is a mask. Women have inflated senses of value. There are tons of interviews where a 5 or a 6 calls herself a 9 or a 10. Now reality can deflate those egos thanks to help from this technology.
You need to get your base stats up before you play with makeup. It will always look better when tastefully put on those who are already pretty.
Also of note. Onlyfans / cam girls are about to lose their simp income streams thanks to AI. This is a good thing for the sexual marketplace.
