Humanoid robots are coming (www.axios.com)

Human-shaped robots with dexterous hands will be staffing warehouses and retail stores, tending to the elderly and performing household chores within a decade or so, according to a Silicon Valley startup working toward that vision.

What do you think?

Oh no Steve I’ve been paying attention just fine. What’s happening is that they are over promising to frighten people – again. Having an awareness of this is fine but I refuse to let it live rent free in my head. Think Theranos. They’ve watched way too many movies and nothing is panning out the way they want it to because they simply aren’t there…I doubt they ever will be – but they’ll try to make you think they have this power.

It’s like the whole AI thing and ppl engaging with it being/becoming sentient. This is simply to frighten ppl and to create a new “god” for folks to be in awe of. Some forms of AI are already here and it’s those things we need to be rallying against e.g solicitor apps that will represent you in court, kids etc. Using ai to falsely pass exams and the rest of it – it’s basically farming human thinking out. This is the way they’ll win.

Matrix – Animetrix Anime!!!
In the mid twenty-first century, humanity falls victim to its vanity and corruption.
They develop artificial intelligence, and soon build an entire race of sentient AI robots to serve them.
Many of the robots are domestic servants meant to interact with humans, so they are built in “man’s own image” (in a humanoid form).
With increasing numbers of people released from all labor, much of the human population has become slothful, conceited, and corrupt.
Despite this, the machines were content with serving humanity.
The relationship between humans and machines changes in the year 2090, when a domestic android is threatened by its owner.
The android, named B1-66ER, kills its owner, his pets, and a mechanic instructed to deactivate the robot, the first incident of an artificially intelligent machine killing a human!!!

Bulsh$t fear mongering AGAIN. No they won’t. Very simple technology like printers and remotes can’t seem to be made to work properly and all digital technology is constantly glitching and fritzing out. “THEY” are not as advanced or intelligent as they want you to think. They don’t have the ability to build this crap and actually make it work, and no mega rich corporation is stupid enough to trust their trillion$ with this either. They’ll put out propaganda that makes it look like they are (just like elon’s fake space rockets and all the woke companies claiming they don’t hurt the environment) and they’ll continue to use humans. AI doesn’t exist, computers programmed by humans do.
