The Snake In The Grass (Behind the disarmingly Dork Charming smile…)

This is where some of the Luciferians best work is done. It’s upbeat! It’s happy! He’s cute as a button and just as sweet as apple pie…you just know his mama still pinches those cheeks. It’s in soooooooo many movies and we all just feel bubbly effervescent when we hear this song. You all know it even if you think you don’t.

Here’s a link to the video: https://youtu.be/BW17WAwMcoQ

I’m just going to bold the lyrics where you can see those beady eyes peering through between the sweet, soft green blades.

Lyrics

Well, I saw fireworks from the freeway (riots)
And behind closed eyes, I cannot make them go away (no eyes to see, nor desire to, willingly blinded)
‘Cause you were born on the fourth of july, freedom ring
Well, something on the surface, it stings (mRNA shots)
I said, something on the surface, well, it kinda makes me nervous
Who says that you deserve this? And what kind of god would serve this? (they know which god but you don’t hear the lowercase when it’s sung, same old accusation, same old accuser, but technically not a lie)
We will cure this dirty old disease (everything has multiple meanings, this is covid but also another slander on God)
Well, if you’ve gots the poison, I’ve gots the remedy

The remedy is the experience
This is a dangerous liaison
I says, the comedy is that it’s serious  (They’re telling you right here that none of this is a joke, it’s deadly serious, but aren’t we having fun? They sure are! What a comedy!)
This is a strange enough new play on words
(Telling you there are double meanings.)
I say the tragedy is how you’re gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on (When you get the true light of YHWH it is the candle that never goes out. Deeds done in darkness are no longer enjoyable, but they can’t imagine life could ever be fun without them.)
So shine the light on all of your friends (The false light of illumination that blinds.)
When it all amounts to nothing in the end (Trying to void the works of YHWH and destroy hope.)

I
I won’t worry my life away
Hey, oh, oh
I
I won’t worry my life away
Hey, oh, oh

Well, I heard two men talking on the radio
In a crossfire kind of new reality show (Constant surveillance and monitoring of every detail of everyone’s lives.)
Uncovering the ways to plan the next big attack
(The signals in the symbols those in the Gno know how to decipher, giving them information/instructions.)
While they were counting down the ways to stab the brother
in the
Be right back after this, the unavoidable kiss (Betrayal, Judas kiss. “Be right back” is the programming breaks.)
Where the minty fresh death breath (WINIFRED: “We are doomed. I feel the icy breath of death upon my neck.”)
Is sure to outlast this catastrophe, dance with me (ApoKALIpso/apocalypse)
‘Cause if you’ve gots the poison, I’ve gots the remedy

The remedy is the experience
This is a dangerous liaison
I says the comedy is that it’s serious
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you’re gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on
So shine the light on all of your friends
When it all amounts to nothing in the end (They amount to nothing in the end, but we know they will persist. Stay strong!  We know it is appointed unto man once to die, that is inevitable. We are not left without help or hope and we are certainly not left bereft. Pray to YHWH and He will comfort you in ways beyond your comprehension.)

I
I won’t worry my life away
Hey, oh, oh
I (I won’t, I won’t, I won’t)
I won’t worry my life away
Hey, oh, oh

When I fall in love (i fall in love)
I take my time
There’s no need to hurry when I’m making up my mind (“You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice” – dawdle until it’s too late and the trap is sprung.)
You can turn off the sun (turn off the sun) (The world plunged into total Luciferian darkness.)
But I’m still gonna shine (False light, immersed fully into the blinking AI lights.)
And I’ll tell you why

Because the remedy is the experience
This is a dangerous liaison
I says the comedy is that it’s serious
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you’re gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on
So shine the light on all of your friends
When it all amounts to nothing in the end

I (’cause I won’t)
I won’t worry my life away (Don’t worry….(you will own nothing, and)….be happy….)
Hey, oh, oh
I (I won’t, I won’t, I won’t)
I won’t worry my life away (Don’t struggle, don’t stress over it, don’t question, just let it happen and sway, baby, sway…)
(I won’t worry my life)
I (and I won’t)
I won’t worry my life away (no) (Sing with me now! Y’all know you’re singing along now, thanks, I’ve got your acquiescence! I’ll take that!)
I (’cause I won’t, and I won’t, and I won’t) (The pete and the repeat, because now e’ryone knows the words up in here and we all singing now, it’s great fun, what a positive, upbeat song! Whooooo!)
I won’t worry my life away
Hey, oh, oh
I (I won’t, I won’t, I won’t)
I won’t worry my life away (Following the Pied Piper, skipping merrily into the jaws.)
I (I won’t, I won’t, I won’t)
I won’t worry my life away (Beady eyes follow the procession from between the green (chloros) blades of soft, sweet grass, then the snake faces front and snickers, tongue flicks…..aaaaaaand CUT*)

I like a lot of the things you pointed out. Looks like the rest of his discography is worth dissecting. I gave a look at his photos on Yandex and there wasn’t a one eye sign to be found. Maybe VC has something in his archives.

When you get the true light of YHWH”

Most Christians say they worship YWHW, but they actually worship some New Age Satanic being. The proof is in the pudding. They are selfish, have no TRUE CARE for others (including plants and animals), want to be ruled by others, and want to sit back and let Jesus take the wheel instead of doing the hard spiritual work themselves.

Most of the names for Old Testament God set off my “Danger Danger Will Robinson” spidey-sense. Like the gnostic demiurge.

Under that YHWH banner, I do believe there is something truly powerful and good. But the truth has been occulted, and I haven’t personally uncovered it yet.

All I know is that most Christians believe the same organizations that lie about the true nature of our history, space, the moon, dinosaurs, evolution, metaphysics, et cetera.

There aren’t any Jason Mraz one-eye signs bcs he’s not in that group. He’s very independent, doesn’t live in Hollywood, and has turned down contracts when they wouldn’t give him 100% control if his music. He even took a year off and bustled for free in streets and coffee shops, just to make sure he was staying connected and true to his music.

I nearly always agree with VC’s modern music interpretations, but not this one.

That photo is CLEARLY the sign for love, with thumb extended, NOT devil horns. I get it, we all know there are a jillion satanic slaves in Hollywood, but this guy isn’t one of that group. There aren’t ANY signs of him selling out or cow towing, in fact just the opposite.

No, you’re right, no one eye. Totally blind. The song I posted was collaborative.
Sounds like he turned them down, so that’s excellent on him. But the markers are undeniable.

Mraz took the name of the album from a work by the artist David Shrigley. It looks like Shrigley probably drew the cover artwork, as well, or that may even be the work itself.

Also alot of people don’t know is that early in his career on 2005 he played a show at the Masonic Temple in detroit, the same lodge Jack Whites mother worked in and the one he paid 142k to save it from being shut down. He also played a show in Scranton Pennsylvania’s Masonic Temple and Scottish Rite Cathedral. He aslo came out as bisexual in 2018. Aslo back in 2008 he was selling concert shirts at his shows with monarch butterflies on them for his song titled “Butterfly”.
Also if you type in Jason Mraz tattoo into a search engine the first on that comes up is a pyramid with a circle around it that Rodrigo Souza got on his right arm in dedication to Mraz song “Be Love”….I could go on and on with this guy, so much more underneath his public façade that people don’t notice. You don’t get to be in the industry at a level he was at without some sort of sacrifice being made,no matter how ‘clean’ he seems to be.

Also,I almost forgot another important clue kind of tying in why I think he may be a Mason…He has a tattoo of a rooster(c**k) on his lower back. Most people wouldn’t think anything of it but the c**k, or rooster, was a symbol of Cashmala (Cadmillus) in the Samothracian Mysteries, and is also a phallic symbol sacred to the sun. The Greeks sacrificed a rooster to the Gods at the time of entering the Eleusinian Mysteries.
Also In high, esoteric Masonry, the laryngeal chakra is represented by the hidden degree of the ‘rooster’. They say that the rooster of the Passion sings when the Kundalini arrives at the canyon or vertebra related to the thyroid gland. It is their belief that the power of the word resides in the sexual force of the rooster.

Ah, so THIS is what I was looking for ~ some interesting background items I didn’t know about this artist. I knew he had struggled with his sexuality, not sure if he might be gay for a bit, but then when I heard he married a woman, I thought that was that.

The rooster and butterfly are both from song lyrics he wrote ~ though, of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t nefarious in origin, perhaps just the opposite.

The rooster is likely a reference to his first self-release of “Before Rockets and Roosters”. There’s a song on that album with the lyrics:

“By your clock the c**k rooster crows
Then off to work where everybody goes
Slow, But eventually they get there“

The song was re-released with his first studio album in 2004.

He explains the significance of his rooster tattoo on the Tonight Not Again, Live at the Eagles Ballroom DVD ~ something about wanting to be more of a go-getter, morning type of person and wanting to “wake the world up with a song.” The rooster is also a significant part of the album art.

If he meant that rooster tattoo to represent sexual masculinity, he sure picked a small, scrawny one! I dunno, maybe he’s got some hidden insecurity issues.

Nonetheless, I wouldn’t be surprised, after all we’ve seen and studied, to find out that he had “sold out” in some way to the global elite that runs Hollywood and mainstream media. On the other hand, though, I do think that sometimes a butterfly IS just a butterfly. (My sister-in-law is planning to get a butterfly tattoo on her wrist next month ~ she’s not a mason, or a pedophile, she was never abused not has she abused anyone. She just thinks butterflies are beautiful. They make her think of rebirth and renewal and innocence.) I dunno ~ I ask myself often, can ANYONE make art or music, without it being about MK-Ultra or the NWO? Can’t it just be music?

Like, after he died, someone posted a podcast interview of Coolio talking about how someone in the Illuminati approached him once and wanted him to engage in some kind of crazy behavior ~ he didn’t say what ~ and he just turned them down. There must be at least a few sane people who can think left, who just don’t go in for that stuff, no?

He credits his wife for him coming out as bisexual as well. Perhaps he isn’t part of anything too nefarious but I found tons of stuff, some of which I mentioned above that may indicate otherwise, and alot of his past concert posters are pretty esoteric in nature. Some of his album art such the pyramidal one on his single to his song ‘The World as I See It’ may require closer occultic interpretation. A few others as well. He has also played in quite a few Masonic lodges over the years and two I mentioned above. There are some more in Europe as well. But a tale tale sign that he is a contributing part of the occultic side of the industry is the one eye sign, which I could not find with him doing the salute other than single eye balls here and there on album art work and posters so that is a good point to him. And I know for a fact he has signed contracts with the major record labels that are notoriously known for the old saying “selling your soul to the devil” . He has been with Atlantic, BMG, Electra..These companies are as satanic as you can get imo. Doesn’t mean he is of course but in due time we will know for sure. Him coming out as bisexual all of a suden maybe a forced step by his record label along with help of his wife as we have seen with tons of industry slaves in the past few years.

So, according to you, they all mean “ILY” when doing the horns?..

Sign language has limited options for straight to the point symbolism.
Non deaf have plenty of other options to convey a meaning.

When you play rabbit or shark with kids, which symbolism do you use first?.. straight to the point symbolism right?

This hand sign symbolizes 2 horns: so look for 2 horned animals or entities to get the message right.

The fact that one is a fan shouldnt make him deny that symbolism.
At least to himself.

I think you got downvoted because in the context of a concert, “rock on” is still an acceptable expression. Like the hippie peace sign that is super prevalent in Japanese culture. Just ’cause Japanese girls are doing the peace sign doesn’t mean they are trying to represent anything demonic.

But if it is someone like Kyrary Pamyu Pamyu who does all sorts of occult signaling then you can be more certain it is shenanigans.

If we don’t have any other examples, and the only time Jason does it is the end of songs while everyone cheering and doings the signs themselves in the audience, I’d say he’s just mirroring culture / body language.

He had a top 40 hit, so he’s in their club to some extent. I listen to a lot of “independent” artists, many of them way more obscure than Jason Mraz, and there is plenty of symbolism and predictive programming to be found. We’ve got to stop blindly trusting and defending these artists of whom we know nothing about.

> Well, something on the surface, it stings (mRNA shots)

Bit of a stretch there.

> Who says that you deserve this? And what kind of god would serve this? (they know which god but you don’t hear the lowercase when it’s sung, same old accusation, same old accuser, but technically not a lie)

Who says we DON’T deserve it? You reap what you sow. The fruit of our actions in the aggregate have reaped the suffering that we’re getting. It’s karma. Natural Law.

“what kind of god would serve this” – Sounds like an atheistic jab at Christians, but yeah, I could see it being the Satanic force too like you said.

> We will cure this dirty old disease

Could definitely be the rhetoric we hear about wanting to wipe out dirty humans who are comparable to a virus or dirty menstrual rags.

Or… maybe we’ve had cancers and retardation and short lifespans put into us by the ancient bloodlines / principalities / beings who messed with “God’s creation” and enslaved us un-naturally. Maybe we can repair the damage done to us and bring ourselves closer to our ideal state of being.

> The remedy is the experience

You skipped the main hook and answer of the whole song. I dunno what it means either but it is worth thinking about.

The trivium is knowledge, wisdom, understanding. Experience sounds like a word that touches on all three of those.

> I say the tragedy is how you’re gonna spend the rest of your nights with the light on

Sounds like someone keeping a nightlight on in fear of the boogie man. Not someone with true internal illumination.

>So shine the light on all of your friends. When it all amounts to nothing in the end
> I won’t worry my life away

Eh. Sounds like so nihilistic and shallow. “don’t worry, be happy”.

Judgement WILL be coming for all bad actions. It’s the law. I don’t know if worry is the right word, but you should definitely have a healthy awe filled respect “fear of God”.

(Don’t struggle, don’t stress over it, don’t question, just let it happen and sway, baby, sway…)

Yeah. This is another point I think Mark Passio is right on about. Many people are convinced they can sit back and let evil happen and wait for Q or Jesus or Trump or the Andromedans or some other being to stand up against evil.

With all the mask nonsense, most people went along to get along instead of mocking and calling out the evil every moment they encountered a mask sheep. And look where doing nothing got us. Millions of people injected with poison. We’ll see what the death toll ends up being.

Stand up to evil. Take action. Be courageous. DO struggle. Self Defense is not evil. Including protecting others. Not only is it not evil, it’s required action of true moral beings.

The remedy is the experience = A reference to the silly little idiom of “It’s not about the outcome, it’s about the journey.” = “Have fun on the journey and don’t worry about the end result” = “Laugh while you have time on this Earth, because laughter is the best medicine.”

“I’ve got the remedy” = I’ve got the laughter, best medicine, I’ll uplift you.

“Live/Laugh/Love” another very common American phrase.

But it’s “wordplay” Rewording the very common phrases because those things would sound ridiculous if you just used them straight out to someone who is dying in the hospital, and you wouldn’t want to piss of your friend by telling them “Don’t worry buddy! Live laugh love! It’s not about the outcome, it’s the journey! Doesn’t matter where you go, as long as you enjoy the ride! Laugh! Have fun! Weeeeeee!”

LOL the song is about how serious what his friend is going through is, how he’s trying to find the ways to tell him the things he needs to, and even an unearned guilt that the whole world is just covering up serious things and even celebrating through it all.

There’s no need to be rude; we’re simply trying to have a conversation, preferably backed by facts, not slurs and attacks and blanket assumptions.

We don’t all have to agree 100% ~ there are sometimes conflicting evidences, opposing experiences, and differences of expertise on different matters posted. If we all blindly accepted everything that was posted, even on this site, without ever considering, we’d be sheep and not free-thinkers at all. Which is the opposite of what this site is about.

So how about let’s allow freedom and respect for opposing opinions and thoughtful, fact-based discussion, and leave the sweeping insults behind, eh? 😉

Look, I don’t know what you have against me, except that I dated to disagree with you about the musician’s reason for writing this song. The back story I provided come straight from the artist’s mouth. The translation you provided is something you just made up. For all I know, you could be right ~ I’m just pointing out that the references have a documented and clear meaning, and that your references to covid and current politics do not apply to a song written well over a decade ago, by someone who is very independent and not a sell-out slave type.

That said, I’m sure his agent, manager, label, concert poster artist, etc. could very well be pushing agendas that 5ye artist himself doesn’t even see ~ happens all the time.

The thing is, I’m just presenting information. I’m not making assumptions, and I’m not insulting you. I even said, repeatedly, that I appreciate your input and find your posts very informative, and I have “liked” each of your responses, simply because you took the time.

But I don’t appreciate being spoken to, or about, as though I’m some idiot. I have been following VC’s every article for over a decade now; I don’t need you to explain the basics to me or talk down to me like some foolish child. I enjoy having a lively debate, but I have no time for being insulted and I will not take your bait. It isn’t the kind of right thing to do.

Instead I will say again that I appreciate your point of view, even though I don’t see this particular song’s translation 100% the way you do, since I know the artist and the real backstory. And as it appears this conversation is disintegrating, I’ll simply wish you well.

Jason Mraz is actually pretty anti-Hollywood and independent, as well as deeply spiritual.

This song was written in 2001, WAY before covid, and is about a close friend of his who had cancer.

From an interview March 24, 2010:
“The inspiration for “Remedy” was Mraz’s high-school friend Charlie Mingroni, who was dealing with Ewing’s sarcoma cancer. “He found out Charlie had cancer about the time he moved to San Diego,” recalls Tomes. “He couldn’t believe so many good things were happening for him and Charlie was going through such a rough time.” The fireworks Mraz saw when he was driving to California reminded him of his friend, whose birthday is on the Fourth of July. The thought appeared in the first lines of the hit.

Mingroni remembers the first time he heard the lyrics. He was getting chemotherapy and shivering even though he was under several blankets. “The song lit me up like I was on fire,” he says. “I was so impressed. I felt so good about life.”

Mraz has never mentioned to his friend (who is now cancer-free) that the song was about him, nor has Mingroni ever mentioned to Mraz that he knows the song’s origin. “We’ve been best friends for 15 years, and there are some things that just aren’t spoken,” Mingroni says.

“You don’t have to speak, you just have to know.”

Mraz’s songs reflect his life. “I have a hard time just making things up,” he says, leaning forward and resting his elbows on the table in front of him. “I try to connect truthfully with my feelings without being preachy. I try to inspire, uplift and make music that hopefully people can relate to.”

Oh I’m DEFINITELY awake and aware; we don’t own a TV in our house and we don’t listen to most modern music ~ in fact, usually when VC posts a “Pics of the Month”, I usually have to look up half of them, bcs I’m not familiar with who they are.

I’m just saying, there’s a reason why VC does a lot of research on a celebrity, before he starts making harsh accusations. I’m not feeling that due diligence was done here.

Yes, I do comprehend English. I’m also saying that the lyrics make perfect sense if you KNOW the underlying meaning, which the author of the sing has been clear about since more than a DECADE before Covid cane out, and which he originally self-published so there weren’t Big Media companies involved in it’s writing.

As people who are truly awake to the Elite’s nefarious schemes, we have an especial responsibility to question everything, even our own extreme biases at time, to see whether they hold up. If you are truly a Christian, you have an obligation to ensure you are very, very certain before you “cast the first stone”. Do you know anything at all about this musician and his full body of work? Have you EVER seen him featured on VC anywhere? I want people to wake up to reality as much as anyone else on this site, but that goal isn’t served by bending the truth to make weak or non-existent points.

Oh my goodness no way!! Sooo many of this fits the bill

For the record I didn’t know any of this except for “someone he knew was sick” when I wrote my comment (analysis). I’m so glad he didn’t actually die. If Jason Mraz was illuminati his friend may have been a sacrifice or something.

I get what OP was saying, that they make evil look “cute” and “happy” and I’m seeing that in a ton of things, (trust me I’m the first to make myself look like a fool pointing out the evil in something cutesy) but I just don’t think this one fits the bill, for a lot of reasons.

First off that the song is so sad, and that’s just how the guy sings. Second because this song doesn’t seem as trite, confusing, or cryptic, and the subject matter is something very real (I’ve experienced very similar feelings, although I couldn’t voice them nearly as well) dude is lucky to be friends with Jason Mraz.

And I hope upon hope that we never see Mr.A-Z in devil horns or some other crap, but to be fair, unfortunately I don’t put it past anyone, because fame is a strange game.

Synchromisticism / Synchronicity has a way of imbuing prophesy and divination into all sorts of thing unintended by the author.

That’s what happens in movies that peoples label “predictive programming”. Sometimes the spirit places clues all over the place to help lead us to the red pill rabbit hole.

I’m sure that’s true ~ especially if you convolute the words in an insistent stretch to fit your preconceived notion. Still doesn’t actually make the song about something other than what it’s actually about.

I’m not saying anything against original poster here. Since I’d been a fan of this song for a long time, I thought I’d take the same approach. The lyrics made a shocking amount of sense once I took the time to actually analyze them.
I did had a mom dying in the hospital. She spent a year there, and driving to and from the hospital was a really tough time. As was talking to her “How do you tell someone else to be positive in a situation where you feel that’s an impossible request?” My little analysis is long and I didn’t want to write a full book so some things might not connect with you personally, but I really connected with this song personally, and I totally get where he was, and I’m grateful I finally took the time to think more about what I’d been singing. It’s not like some crazy lyrics now-a-days which are just about garbage.

Verse 1: THINGS ARE FUN WHILE THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUS GOING ON
Well, I saw fireworks from the freeway (On my way to the hospital to visit you people were lighting off fireworks, celebrating)
And behind closed eyes, I cannot make them go away (The celebration attitude felt wrong. When I closed my eyes I still heard them.)
‘Cause you were born on the fourth of July, freedom ring (your birthday is the 4th. America was born on the 4th.)
Well, something on the surface, it stings (but you’re dying.)
I said, something on the surface, well, it kinda makes me nervous (it doesn’t feel freeing at all.)
Who says that you deserve this? (you’re a good person)
And what kind of god would serve this? (most would blame God for this)
We will cure this dirty old disease (have hope)
Well, if you’ve gots the poison, I’ve gots the remedy (because I’m here with you. + laughter is the best medicine)

[Pre-Chorus]
The remedy is the experience (we have to enjoy our time: livelaughlove & all that)
This is a dangerous liaison (even though you’re dying)
I says, the comedy is that it’s serious (seems like a cruel joke)
Which is a strange enough new play on words (but like how shakespeare wrote tragic comedies, we’re already writing something)
I say the tragedy is how you’re gonna spend (it’s sad you’re gonna spend the rest of your nights in fear)
The rest of your nights with the light on (In fear + hospitals keep lights on in the halls at night)
So shine the light on all of your friends (But use that time to spread your light to others)
When it all amounts to nothing in the end (beceause nothing’s that serious)

[Chorus]
I, I won’t worry my life away (I’m not going to spend the rest of my time with you living in worry)
Hey, oh, oh
I, I won’t worry my life away
Hey, oh, oh (Hey! I want to tell you the same but that’s hard so I won’t explicitly say it)

[Verse 2] THINGS ARE PLASTERED WITH CONSUMERISM WHILE SOMETHING SERIOUS IS GOING ON
Well, I heard two men talking on the radio (back on the drive to the hospital)
In a cross fire kind of new reality show (talking real fast)
Uncovering the ways to plan the next big attack (about politics, war)
While they were counting down the ways to stab the brother in the be right back after this (them trying to solve the biggest issues was cut off by a commercial)
The unavoidable kiss, where the minty fresh death breath is sure to outlast this catastrophe (It’s unavoidable that the big issues are plastured over with consumerism, like this toothpaste commercial. Silly.)
Dance with me, ’cause if you’ve gots the poison, I’ve gots the remedy (Since you have the cancer then I have the cure)

[Pre-Chorus]
The remedy is the experience (we’ll try to make it fun)
This is a dangerous liaison (I’m worried about even suggesting you have fun in this situation)
I says the comedy is that it’s serious (it’s so serious, it’s almost unbelievable)
This is a strange enough new play on words (I’m really trying to make it sound right)
I say the tragedy is how you’re gonna spend (I’m sad…
The rest of your nights with the light on (about your situation, and your fears)
So shine the light on all of your friends (but use the time to embrace and love the people who visit you)
When it all amounts to nothing in the end (none of this really matters in the end -death-)

[Chorus]
I, I won’t worry my life away (I’m not going to spend this time worrying)
Hey, oh, oh
I (I won’t, I won’t, I won’t) (I’m pushing myself to not …
I won’t worry my life away (spend this time worrying)
Hey, oh, oh (Hey -wanting to tell you the same- oooh -cutting it off because I know it’s not a plausible thing to demand out of you)

[Bridge]
When I fall in love (I fall in love), I take my time (don’t worry about me buddy, I’ll find a good woman after you’re gone)
There’s no need to hurry when I’m making up my mind (I’m not sure when but it’s OK)
You can turn off the sun (Turn off the sun), but I’m still gonna shine And I’ll tell you why (you were a huge light in my life, but I’ll be OK even when you’re gone)

Thank you for sharing; this is exactly how I interpreted the song, as well. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom ~ what a difficult experience to live through. <3

Interesting.

So according to this interpretation, Mr Mraz gave a positive tribute to a sick friend by telling him:

– you are gonna die (yet he s got cancer: most, apart from a few, are curable now)

– but dont worry i m gonna have a nice future after you die (love life, not worry and enjoy life etc)

– God is so not nice to make you endure this

– but before you die, sprend some love dude!

Seriously?

I connect with you for what happened to you.
Yet, for having cared myself for 2 of my dearest ones whom died in my arms in my own home, i cannot buy that one can convey such words or interpetation to a sick one, let alone dying, relative.

I am sure yourself havent uttered nor conveyed such messages to your mother, may she rest in peace.

I have to say that there is such a strange dark vibe to those lyrics.
As in most.

I wouldnt see myself using such words (ie “the end, catastrophe, lets all dance cause at the end we ll die and we ll be left with nothing, i wont worry my life away”) to those i saw fighting cancer around me and whom ultimately died.

This is just impossible to subliminally refer to an end or to death to someone who s having cancer, your whole semantic changes and exclude all the synonyms of such words.

Because how silly it might sound, until the last breath, one hopes for miracle and that it will get better.

Just ask any palliative service nurse if these are words they say to cancer patients…

Yes, Mraz gave a justification that satisfy and “inspire” most of fans. Isnt that the ultimate goal of music?

Most of songs (or films/novels) are written when the authors are going through altered state of consciousness.

Look at the angelina jolie video where she explained that tattoos were done on her while she was unaware of it (altered state of consciousness).
She explains she doesnt understand the real meaning of her tattoos yet has to FIND a meaning to explain them to others. AFTER their realization.

its highly probable that song/film/novel writers go through the same process to explain the meaning of their lyrics/scenari.

In a nutshell, the constant hidden message thrown at us (here implied with words “comedy”, “play”, “tragedy”) is that this engineered reality is just a gigantic PERFORMANCE to keep us unaware of our true purpose and not “worry our lives away”.

When this performance is over and the masks fall: will we clap or will we weep?..

Nb: Although my 3 previous comments seem to make me agree with the poster s interpretation, i do not (no offense Igage.).
However, as said previously, i do agree there is a symbolism attached to it. To all actually.
