In Sweden, implants are business as usual, and sadly it is widely and favorably accepted by the population.
Schools, Banks, Id cards, transportation tickets, passports, even keys are implanted in these RFID chips.
Sweden has been a successful test case.
Now it is being implemented worldwide. Canada is a Nordic country with a society pretty much similar to the Scandinavians, i think it will be accepted like Sweden.
