(‘Hi Jinx’ reminds me of the Bohemian Grove’s ‘High Jinx’: Every year, the club hosts a two-week-long (three weekends) camp at Bohemian Grove, which is notable for its elitist guest list and Cremation of Care ceremony. The High Jinx was originally set up within the plot of the serious “High Jinks” dramatic performance on the first weekend of the summer encampment, after which the spirit of “Care”, slain by the Jinks hero, was solemnly cremated. The Cremation of Care was separated from the other Grove Plays in 1913 and moved to the first night and the Grove Play was moved to the last weekend of the encampment.)
dude you gotta chill with posting any single picture that has an ‘eye’ in it, this link site will become way too over crowded with images that may just be showing an eye that has no connection with the occult
Agree. It’s an overused image and it doesn’t mean every time you see it it’s linked to the occult. It makes your site seem like it’s reporting every little thing and it delegitimises what you’re trying to say.
I think the media saturation is also key to recognize. It’s never just the one-eyed images alone, they are always surrounded with other repetitively telling imagery which gives the game away as not just a strategic hairstyle (or flower or butterfly, etc). Otherwise, people may just find a few bugabears and not realize that it’s not so much about individuals, it’s entire industries. Many young people still aspire to these paths and I have seen comments asking about whether they can get in, be successful yet remain untouched by all this – this repetition, like it or no, seems to present its own resounding “NO” which, to my mind is a far more comprehensive telling.
