Don’t fall into the trap that “occult” means evil. That’s like not wanting to have ANYTHING to do with The Force at all because the Sith use it to do bad things. Do your homework and de-occult the truth so that it can shine and cleanse the grime.
God says come to the light while Satan and evil spirits want everything done in darkness and confusion. Satan doesn’t want you to be able to discern what is really happening in the spiritual realm. The occult is the practice of giving your authority over to demons but Satan doesn’t want you to know that. He wants you to think that you are operating in your own power when, in reality, the very act of spell casting is surrendering your power to demons. Demons love to lie to you to convince you to willingly become a fool.
John 3:20-21 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light.” Ephesians 5:11-14
That which is hidden is in darkness. That’s what occultism is, darkness. Secrecy. Expose everything. If it is shameful to do in the light, it is evil. If it must be hidden, ask why.
