I always thought she liked Fred and hated Daphne (because, as a feminist, she didn’t like the dumb, pretty girl). At least that’s how it appeared in the cartoons I watched as a kid. But, you can’t have any kind of show without shoe-horning in some LGQBT+kitchen sink character these days so of course they make Velma the lesbian. Next they’ll be making Scooby and Shaggy into a couple — or maybe throw in Fred to make it a polyamorous relationship. It’s only a matter of time before they start pushing b********y mainstream.
