I agree with you that this is a far cry from true, self-aware Satanism; but that does not mean it is not participating directly in the same, albeit at the frontier. It is expanding the spaces offered over to Satan, and not to God. That is its “bearing on the world.” It is merely a sign of the times, and one among a thousand similar; that is precisely what makes it so troubling.
