Antonia, Mary was indeed blessed but she has never been anything more than a woman of flesh and blood like yourself. She is not a deity for us to pray to, although the lying Popes who have served Satan have led many to believe that Mary is to be worshipped and prayed to.
I do not tell you this to condemn you in any way but so that you can repent before our true LORD the only son of a virgin for creating an idol who you have elevated to His place.
He is eager to forgive you because He knows that Satan uses his Popes to deceive many.

Jesus can bend his will and rule set for the benefit of souls. You cant also hold every word of the bible literally. It has been interpreted many times and not one person is ever right. It speaks in parables and metaphors.

Hi Gates. In Catholicism, Mary plays a role as a mediatrix for souls. She is not competing with Jesus, but rather is ushering souls to her Son. She is not an idol but revered for her passion for souls and showing extreme mercy.
Idols the bible talks about are the known ones, Baal, Molech, etc. Saints, mother Mary assist Jesus for salvation.
