A high school student's mural angers parents over what they say are hidden messages (www.npr.org)

Debate over the mural’s meaning became heated during a school board meeting last week. Parents say the painting contains anti-Christian and demonic messages, while also being pro-LGBTQ.

What do you think?

Does christianity stand for persecuting gay people ? Time has come when gay people start objecting to drawings of church. Tit for tat. Religious people are intolerant violent prejudiced buggers.

I think the media holds up religion as persecuting gays yes. Like most people – religious folk may have an opinion on the gay way of life when pushed but most would not see any harm come to another human being. I consider if someone is gay it to be none of my business. You cannot force people to accept something that is inherently against what they believe – but they will tolerate it as part of the world.

People will never agree on everything. Life would be v boring.

Why should gay-tude/transi-tude be all over one s face ? Why should vaccine promotion needs now some gay or trans vibe?
Why should kids be harassed by sex orientation for every single subject? Clothing, cereals, halloween, make up or games, everything need to revolve around gay or trans (whom represent a few percent of humanity)? And they talk about inclusion when all is done to promote exclusion and division..

The Church is The number one pedo gay organisation in the world.
The church has almost no existence in MSM, it’s influence power has been clearly weakened.
Your problem is with Heterosexual people who are intolerant to other orientations and gender theories being taught in schools. The battleground is now in daycare, schools, for the mind of the future generations. I have questions for you @Whatevs:
Are you for legalizing pedophilia?
When you say Tit for Tat, what do you mean?

What you call the Church has long been infested by un religious priests, this is also part of the agenda to make people distrust Faiths.

Islam has the terrorist label. Judaism as well etc

Read about the different conciles of the catholic church. Isnt it strange that p-•ophil-@ only exploded once satanists infested its organization?

For religious people, religion is not only a matter of faith, it’s also the only legislation they recognize, for them Holly books are also THE law books. The civil modern law was imposed after centuries of bloody struggles with the church: they are forced to abide by.
An important principle in religion is that: If something is not explicitly forbidden by a religious text, it is by de facto permitted, legal.
@SoAnnoyed can you give me in ANY Religion just ONE text explicitly forbidding p-•ophil-@? even defining, citing p-•ophil-@?
Any text explicitly protecting CHILDREN at all?
This point is a grey zone between the White and Black sides, where sadly both as opposed as they seem on everything else, agree on it.

Another example of religious dystopia: in Iran, they are killing women for not wearing a scarf, simply because there is a text about it. At the same they have a religious concept called “pleasure marriage” in other words prostitution under mosque benediction: If a man feels an urge, he only has to go to the MOSQUE, ask the Imam there for a one hour “pleasure marriage”, choose a girl from a catalog, pay the price and go pick his ONE hour bride …

You read what other wrote and believe you have made your homework?

So again, can you please cite me from the koran where it is mentionned:

– that scarf is MANDATORY?

See you wont find this word.

You will however notice that, hair being the adornment of women (isnt the hairdresser the first place they go to for a special occasion?..), religious women will cover them outside their home, whether they are muslims or jewish (whom mostly wear wigs though) or catholics nuns (check all icones and images you find of Mary, mother of Jesus…can you see her hair?..)

– that silly idea of a pleasure marriage

You wont find anything cause you ve let someone else falsely pretend what you could have checked for yourself

I have at least one version of each holy books, in several languages. From judaism to buddhism to sikkhism or zoroastrism.

So to check if what people say is Truth or not

You ask:
“can you give me in ANY Religion just ONE text explicitly forbidding p-•ophil-@? even defining, citing p-•ophil-@”

First, you ask me to prove a point you want to make. So the least would be that YOU give me in ANY Religion just ONE text explicitly allowing p-•ophil-@?

Then, can you cite one code of laws, from any country you wish, that is not directly inspired by a religious book?See, no book of civil laws has not been based on religious morals.

Also, pedophil@+ is in plain sight in many books. Teen nowadays, and even older women, dream of experiencing “romeo & juliet” style love stories. Well, Juliet was 13 years old..

But as long as it is not a religiously inspired story, this doesnt bother anyone.

Finally, pedib@%! Has not been forbidden in any code of laws until the last 40 years or so.
This is very new on the scale of humanity isnt it?

As a side note, zoophili@ has been banned in some countries less than 10 years ago… want to check what the religous books thought of it?..

The truth is that many make it a point to simply reject/hate what may be religious simply because it is religious.

Yet, they impose their own Atheist views. Atheism is as much a religion as Christianism or communism.

I dont see how the world has gone any better since that dogma has become a religion. But i may be blind.

First: The pleasure marriage, is maybe for you a silly idea, but for Shia Muslims in Iran, it’s a pillar in their religion, it’s called : “Nikah mut’ah” just google it and you will also find all religious texts supporting it. In real life it’s happening as i described it if not worse.
Second: about Hijab, in Koran, it was mandatory for prophet’s wives, and because these women are THE example for all Muslim women, the concept of imposing the Hijab was projected to every single Muslim woman, so yes Hijab is an obligation for every single Muslim woman that takes religion seriously, no shortcut possible.
In Islam, the true source of legislation is Hadith and practically speaking Hadith is more important than Koran, for example: Prayers are exclusively described in Hadith, in Koran no mention of even how to pray, how many prayers a days, …
in Hadith you can even find texts cursing women who don’t wear a Hijab.

Third: In my past comment i wrote :
“An important principle in religion is that: If something is not explicitly forbidden by a religious text, it is by de facto permitted, legal”.
Sadly yes, Religions do tolerate p-•ophil-@.
I have nothing against religions, their contribution to humanity is huge, however dark sides exists, and denying that fact means closing eyes to horrible crimes, another example: Hitler and N**i Germany as a regime had the church benediction and support. This is a historical fact.
Freedom of thinking, innovations, scientific discoveries, this huge scientific development was a result of when humanity broke out from the total domination of the church philosophy.

You mention hadith, writings of humans.
For each hadith that says such, you ll find another that contradict it. I do not consider such writings as divinely inspired.

So again and only because you failed to warn your point or views as “religion according to people”, and because you made a general statement on Religion, i do not see the precise verse of what you pretend:
” can you please cite me from the koran where it is mentionned:
– that scarf is MANDATORY?”

Dont pretend to present a point as true if you cannot demonstrate it.

You failed to cite such a verse.

About the so called one hour wedding, again, if you want to make it specific to islam as you have, present your proof from the koran (other writings must be discarted, however much people base their beliefs on them).

Or, wanna talk about what people do to justify love (kill, spy, steal; rape etc) ? Should we then take LOVE for a dangerous/hainous concept?

Also, shias are a minority of Islam, this alone is a point. They revere the prophet s grandsons and hardly respect the prophet himself so their views/books are as valid as Ahmadi muslims or Druze: just one among hundreds.

As for de facto beliefs you hold so dearly on, its an utter non sense

For example, my country doesnt EXPLICITLY forbid satanist sacrifices: hence, according to your reasoning, Democracy allows satanic baby sacrifice.

Let s all be Anarchists then.

Sorry, i will leave this sterile discussion here. I have much reading and reasoning of my own to do.

They probably saw the Hamsa Hand and thought “it’s the hand of Satan!”

😂 I don’t see any hidden symbolism in this lighthearted mural

The hamsa hand is an occult symbol which is still used in certain areas of the globe. Hamsa means 5 in arabic. It isnt only to reject the evil eye.

I do not “perceive” it as evil.

It IS evil.

i come from a background that uses such hand for fortune telling.
The hand is plit in many sections around the phalanges and palms , each ruled by a letter. each letter is given a numerical value. From this your future can be foretold.

Your ignorance of a thing shouldnt be proof that thing isnt real/proved.

No. I simply don’t point and yell “evil!” at everything like a superstitious fool. I recognize the symbolism, and there’s nothing here that can be construed as wicked symbolism, save for the needle and some pride colors.

Y’all aren’t too intellectually mature.

..

Do you know how many hours of preparation is done before an artist draws/paints an image?

Have you studied years of Fine Arts to decreet the contrary of what they teach, ie, one simple dot has a meaning: its size, color, its location on the painting/drawing?

We could write dozen of pages, and it wasnt enough to depict one single 10″ painting/drawing. Its fascinating how many messages can be conveyed in such tiny pieces of art.

Same with a poem or even 10 lines of a novel.

Since Antiquity; images are all it took to shape humanity s mind or convey messages, often without it realizing it.

Visual art/words: Isnt what marketing, PR or corp. communication is all about?..

Your inability to decipher such messages is no reason to question other s intelligence.

well cast pearls there.. with grace & aplomb.
in regards to fine art: myriad pages written about A.Dürer- Melencolia I, & every inch still mysterious & fascinating ( i.e. truncated triangular trapezohedron..)

nothing published is random.. not in 1514 & certainly not in ’22.

There’s so much more in this than what people realize.

At a fortune tellers, they hold hands around a crystal ball just like the two in the middle are doing.

There’s butterflies everywhere. Mushrooms. Face of satan. Upside down crosses. The stars are all drawn upside down (like how they are in the pentagram).
Crescent moon and star symbols a few times on here with the moon at different angles, this has all kinds of ancient history and meanings.
There’s also a few circles with inner circles and straight lines at different angles. Why? I’m not talking the one peace sign, which some people have said has different meanings than “peace”, but I’m talking about the weird looking ones under it. One is even all lit up (shining), like it’s very important to this kid. People here who know symbology probably have seen those before and say more.

Swirls even one that looks triangular (which are reminiscent of pedo symbols). P***s looking shapes. A caterpillar shape leading to a cat head, and a girl with a sucker in her mouth and hurt knees. I’ll let y’all figure those ones out.

A heart with a bandaid when so many died of heart problems after the vax (such as myocarditis), along with ghosts following the masked death shot pig and looking at the “doctor’s’ chart. The vax solution is very dark/black (black metallic substances were found in vaccines).

People get so hung up on “There’s some trans and gay flag colors stuff on the shirts” (yes, three I can see, gay/bi & trans), but open your eyes, there’s a ton more, and throwing “Well they are all just bigots and homophobes” at it seems like the agenda from the beginning.

I understand if a kid gets wrapped up in some imagery they have seen, and maybe this is what happened, but yes, the school shouldn’t be continually pushing these images, even if drawn in a “cutesy” way. And wow it’s a lot!!!

So who is this kid, why was this particular kid decided to draw this?
Why was only one child in an entire school chosen to both design and paint a mural?
Were they just given carte-blanche, or did adults take a more active role?
Which adults?

This reminds me a lot of the children chosen for other agenda pushing items. For example, why was only one child chosen to be the face of climate change, and who was behind her? When people were annoyed by it, what happened? They were gaslit, told “how dare you speak about a child! Don’t you care about the environment?”

Now how dare we all be so anti-child, and so anti-gay rights, and so anti-health?

yeah, this is a strange one for sure!

It all comes down to one single agenda: tamper G-d s creation in every ways.

From Food (from proxessed to gmo to synthetic meat), weather (engineering), body (aesthetic and sex re assignment surgeries), nature (Monsanto and the suppressing of natural seeds replaced by artificial ones, pesticides, health (natural remedies vs pharmaceuticals), family organisation (single families & divorces, laws limiting parental rights to choose how the educate kids), mind (confusion that leads to depression, violence and isolation while we live in a never so connected world) etc

They tamper with G-d s creation because it is the surest way to get to our souls.

Humanity has become soul less because it has been ripped from what the soul needs to survive: a purpose.

Even a chair or a shoe has one. Apparently, not us whom we think of as the greatest creature of all..

We have come to forget our purpose.

In all logics, we, and our kids, now wander aimlessly in souless lives (if xanax/prozac havent made us blind to that reality…)

THINK. PONDER. MEDITATE.

Aside from the ridiculous and pretty blatant negative message, it would be nice to see some real artistic ability for a change. Every young person I know thinks they can draw because they learned to trace/replicate this generic Steven Universe style. It’s getting boring.
Real art is not derivative. Try some originality once in a while.

The eyes on the mural say all that needs to be said.

It is the excrement of evil, I see it and smell it.
