I had to get a hysterectomy and refused to sign the blood transfusion form. The nurse freaked out on me, basically screaming about how I could die, and how everyone signs it, it’s a standard form, I have to sign it. I said “no” I’m not signing it, you can’t do a transfusion on me for any reason, I don’t want someone else’s blood in me point blank, and if you won’t do the surgery here I’ll find somewhere else. It really became a long argument. She said “what if the doctor messes up?” I said “Then I shouldn’t be at this doctor in the first place.” She wouldn’t let up. Eventually I started talking about the Bible, and how it warns against consuming blood. Finally she gave up, admitted it was an optional form, and that I didn’t really have to sign it. I felt like she should apologize to me, but didn’t push it. It’s just nuts. But yes, I’m 100% fine now, and glad they didn’t sneak someone else’s blood into me. They really (at least that one nurse) seemed gung-ho to be able to do so!

I have had some terrible nurses in health situations over the years as well. Many of them are compassionate and good-natured people, but those who aren’t can cause tremendous damage. It is amazing to me how anyone devoid of empathy could pursue a profession such as this.
It’s all good, as they recently tweeted: “We don’t label blood products as containing vaccinated or unvaccinated blood as the COVID-19 vaccine does not enter the bloodstream & poses no safety risks to the recipient. If you have safety concerns about potential blood transfusions, please speak with your medical care team.”
We live in bizarro world populated by morons.
A vaccine injected directly into the body does not enter the bloodstream? In what possible way could the vaccine do anything within the body without entering the bloodstream?
It’s like saying either we admit the vaccine does nothing (which we know is incorrect, as it is dangerous), or we are fine flat-out lying in the most obvious way.
Insane to me how people can’t see through this.
This is scary as hell … really scary.
I have made it through this entire covid fiasco without ever getting covid or being vaccinated. If I were ever in a situation where for some reason I was in the hospital and unable to give consent, then received tainted blood after steadfastly refusing the vaccine for so long, I would be beyond furious.
So now not only do we have to worry about all our loved ones who received this s**t, but we also have to worry about ever being in a situation where we might need blood. This is insanity.
