The Guardian, Saturday launch issue

The Guardian, Saturday launch issue September 2021

Following the news that the crappy Guardian Weekend supplement was folding, the publication’s design team was tasked with creating a new, larger-scale Saturday magazine. The launch issue featured three alternative covers, but the standout one eye sh*t cover was undoubtedly Greta Thunberg.

Dropping ahead of the COP26 conference on climate change, the cover image by Jeremy Strong saw the climate activist transformed into a human oil spillage, as an unidentifiable treacly black substance dripped from her hair, down her face covering one eye and on to her neck and shoulders.

What do you think?

Yeah, I stopped deeming them credible some time ago. Their “wokism” now seems to be proudly on display.

Wow, this so ugly and enmeshed in agenda it was perversely an honour to bear witness to it.

That kind of images I relate to demonic possession, the black oil would be a satanic anointing.
