Never cared for his particular story telling “talents”. He’s also been pushing the “open relationships” narrative that’s been gaining traction here in the West. I believe he’s involved in poly-type one himself. And, if that’s what he wants, than so be it. Just don’t pedal it to us as something wholesome and stable.

I’m assuming he is like Nick Cannon who also is a promoter of open relationships. Shows how delusional they are if they think that just because their marriages got destroyed with lust means that everyone else’s will too.

A friend of mine wanted to watch the HBO show he was in, about pirates. I was on the fence, but gave it a go. So Taika plays Blackbeard, who is a main character. At first there was all this mystery around the character, until he was revealed as Taika. It’s a “comedy” (I didn’t think it was very amusing).
Blackbeard then shows the main character his secret: he has a wardrobe on his ship dedicated to all kinds of silk frippery. I thought “this seems a bit gay, but okay.” I wasn’t really enjoying the show, but my friend was, and the episodes were short, so we watched the whole season.
By the end of the season, Blackbeard and the other male character are in a gay romance. It felt very forced and sort of came out of nowhere. Despite the fashion stuff, that was really the only gay indication. Then all of a sudden, they were kissing.
I don’t really care if people are gay, but in this particular show, it just made no sense. The character appeared very masculine, while the other was not necessarily effeminate, but weak-willed. I thought it was ridiculous that a pirate would be gay… I mean, that seems like the sort of thing they would have killed someone for.
I realize it’s supposed to be light entertainment, but I’m just tired of these agendas being at play in everything… It’s one thing if you go into something knowing it’s some alphabet soup show. It’s different when it’s hamfisted and comes out of nowhere.
Anyway, I don’t plan on watching the second season.. Lol.

The character he plays in Free Guy on Disney is a whiny, money hungry, liar. The entire movie is propaganda. But since it has Ryan Reynolds in it it’s pushed. Was it funny and entertaining? Yes it was. But, it’s a scary reflection of where we are going to go in this new “Metaverse”.

Don’t get me started on Marvel….
