Hymn – Ultravox

For a song about selling your soul and spiritual downfall this has a very interesting choice of cover art, especially for the 1980s. Did Midge Ure know something about what was required of secret societies?

What do you think?

Lots of symbols in the border. Some are architectural, such as the T-square. Then there’s a cube (of Saturn?) and a Tubal Cain. Also interesting that there’s a dot on the moon. The moon represents the feminine, and a dot in a circle usually represents impregnation. The goal of the elite is to bring about the reign of Horus/Saturn/Apollo. Horus is the offspring of Isis by Osiris’ false phallus. Isis being impregnated is represented by an overhead view of the phallus of Osiris (an obelisk) inside the womb of Isis (a circular platform), which looks like a dot in a circle.
