Iiiiii’m gonna have to disagree with you about this one. The music industry wasn’t able to get their claws into Bjork. (In fact, she was mocked mercilessly, see: swan dress.) She’s a legit living artist whose music transcends the typical cookie cutter crap of the radio. As a fan I’ll admit my bias, but that also means I am very familiar with her body of work. Nothing Satanic about her.
I never said she was satanic and I said nothing about her being part of the slave music industry! This video,in her own words, is her vision of what a funeral ritual should be like. Take what you want from it but don’t accuse me of things I did not say, thank you!
Her words:
“For 20 years I have not been able to attend funerals as something about them rubbed me the wrong way,” Björk wrote on Instagram alongside the video. “Possibly a big part of it is after having lived a life of thousand concerts, I probably have too strong ideas on how a ritual should be,
what kinda sound, musical structure, words and it took me all this time to discover that for me all funerals should be outside.”
That doesn’t mean anything. She wasn’t the only celebrity who wore something dumb at the red carpet. If she truly was against them then they would of booted and silenced her. Her music videos cost a lot of money to make and she has to get it from somewhere. 2 million or more is likely the cost of those music videos. She may not be promoting the exact symbols but she gives off a witchy vibe. Plus she is a slave to them. Even though she was with the Sugarcubes when she was older. They gave her her first recording contract at 11 years old.
If you enjoy watching this kind of disturbing video, then I truly pity you.
I don’t know man, the video has very disturbing vibes that’s for sure but Björk herself is in special category of alternative scene same like Aphex Twin or Massive Attack or Portishead (sorry if i’m not close enough to her style with mentioned artists but i don’t know her music apart from her old albums from late 90s). These artists never have been pushed or promoted by media because of their alternative and very specific style, they actually have been permanently mocked by higher artistic echelons, they are maybe a little bit over-expressing themselves with their shocking style and performances and Björk is very influenced by her home and ancestors and folklore of Iceland but i doubt that they are the satanic pawns. I know about Aphex Twin’s story when he refused to produce a remix for Madonna and he said he didn’t want to be part of that scene and didn’t want to work for those people and i think Björk is more or less in the same league. But as i said before, this her new video is kind of disturbing and that music is very unpleasant to listen.
The line “My skull is my cathedral” stood out to me as occult. I always talk about kundalini and how it is the secret of every secret society and mystery religion. In tantra kundalini is raised to the skull where it awakens the third eye, an interaction between the pineal and pituitary glands which supposedly unites one with the divine, but I believe delivers the practitioner to Satan, the “god” of this world. The mention of “matrimort” also seems alchemical to me, and alchemy is Western tantra. The raised kundalini is often represented as the chemical wedding of sun and moon, the hot and cold streams of kundalini, and there is a lot of death imagery as well as marriage imagery in alchemy. Her red veil and the black bird skull on her head are also very alchemical, rubedo and nigredo. The video reminded me of Midsommar, a very occult pagan film, and an Icelandic film called Rams. I have to say, I think everyone who makes it to the world stage as a performer had supernatural assistance, and not of the positive variety. I don’t think you are allowed into the club otherwise. And as someone myself of Northern European heritage, I no longer trust European paganism. I previously mentioned the Near Eastern huluppu tree story, from Gilgamesh, a magical world tree with a snake at the root, the demon witch Lilith in the trunk and a phoenix like bird in the branches. I believe that Yggdrasil, the Nordic world tree with a dragon, an eagle and a triple witch goddess associated with it, is one and the same as that, a representation of the fallen world, the human world suspended between heaven and hell. I think the tree represents the human nervous system corrupted by the stages of risen kundalini, a coiled snake at the root in the dormant phase, Lilith/Kali-Shakti rising up in the body in the awakening phase and the firebird, illumination/ignition by Luciferian heat and light, at the end stage.
what little I could watch of this was incredibly disturbing and pagan. It did not feel wholesome or innocent. The handling of the “corpse” scenes – very disturbing. Like I said I found it very hard to watch. I find a lot of these things very difficult to watch though, which is why I appreciate VC so much (and am a subscriber) – he watches and breaks things down so I can be aware of this filth out there without having to ingest much of it myself.
