She was startled by the voice of a man while she was in the shower.
Rinsing off after her usual laps at the Port Townsend, Washington community pool, Julie Jaman, a pillar of her community and mother of two adult daughters, heard a man talking.
Poking her head out of the plastic sheet between herself and the man, she saw him wearing a women’s swimsuit, supervising little girls as they stripped off their own swimsuits to pee.

The woman in the story made me think about how I have experienced things a huge number of times over the last couple decades – it is like being in the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers. She is the only one in the story that is acting in a realistic “normal” manner – everyone else is acting crazy. It is a wildly unsettling feeling.

I feel like banging my head against a wall it’s so frustrating. How can people not see how dangerous this is?
It’s almost like they are pod people
This is one of the tools they’re using to convince us that just staying home is the only way to go anymore, and even that’s not really safe.
That’s why when I lived in the city I had my treadmill and equipment regardless if there was a free gym or whatever nearby. It’s insane they’re pushing the elderly around like this and none of those aholes will stand up for her
