This movie is absolutely loaded from start to finish with symbols and subtext that only people who read VC will recognize. It is a smorgasbord for those with eyes to see.
Right off the bat it shows you who (or what is more accurate) Colonel Tom Parker is (played by pedo Tom Hanks)
This isn’t typically a movie I would go see in theaters especially since I never bought an Elvis record or even seen one of his movies. I did think he was incredibly talented -well you will easily see why. I can only say I was guided to see it and I’m glad I went. There is zero bloody violence in it either it could almost be rated G – it is intended for the entire family. Nice wholesome satanic fun for the kids too.
They really hold nothing back it seems many movies are getting bolder and bolder in the face ‘realism’.
If you choose to see it be prepared for a tremendous amount of powerful symbology, sub text and subliminals that are not to be taken lightly.
The production values are all top notch everything about this movie is extraordinary.
I am also not the least bit surprised Austin Butler, who played Elvis, was hospitalized after the conclusion of filming. It must have been an extremely rough shoot. Duality and mirroring.
An interesting side note – I first tried to see this on Monday and in the opening sequences within the first 5 minutes when the crescendo is building that the Colonel is about to do this big thing – take total spiritual control about to touch Elvis on the back with his Evil Clown Staff – the power goes out in the entire building. I believe it was a square block because there were traffic lights out too.
I received a raincheck and left the theater. I have been inquiring will God what this was about the timing was too coincidental.
I would of went to see it also but my sister prefers to go alone with her friends because that’s just how teenagers are. But I think the reason why he was hospitalized and almost died was because the evil spirits who were impersonating Elvis that were conjured tried to kill him since he didn’t need them anymore. He said he woke up during the witching hour and his body started to shut down all of a sudden. After also seeing that Oscar winners ended up with serious mental issues. I now see why actors like The Rock play the same character in every movie and don’t care how bad the script is as long as they can dictate their paycheck.
He looked tormented for real during parts of the movie – I agree he was being invaded by things that seemed pretty terrible. I kept getting the sense there was intense mirroring going on with the controlling spirits of Elvis and this actor.
Don’t know about spirits, but I think MK Ultra was definitely heavily involved. It always is with movies like this.
If you see the movie spirits are undeniably involved. Even from the trailer it is clear. MK Ultra is about opening people to and ritually implanting spirits (demons)
Mk ultra ritual abuse is different and the victim isn’t allowed to mentally recover. He opened himself to those evil spirits with method acting. It’s when you develop and live as your character for long periods of time which makes you physically, psychologically and spiritually as the character. He said he lived as Elvis Presley everyday for 3 years and admitted the Elvis persona never completely left him.
Thank you for pointing this out. I’d never realized this is what method “acting” is. They’re not actually acting, more like possessed. It makes so much more sense. That’s really why they never break character. It’s no wonder other actors praise it so much while at the same time acting as if it’s a rare thing when some actors do it.
The Elvis actor looks a lot like John Travolta in parts.
He did an incredible job – very believable. But probably not for the reasons most people think he did an incredible job
After Austin dyed his hair black before he was cast, in hopes, he had a series of “covered-eye” photos taken. Also, he was the same age as Elvis, 23, when their mothers died.
