Non-binary Aussie raising a baby free of 'gender indoctrination' (www.dailymail.co.uk)

Sommer began identifying as non-binary two years ago and recently became a parent alongside their wife, Stephanie. Now the couple are determined their baby, Juno, will be raised ‘gender expansive’.

What do you think?

The TV series Mission Hill did this in 2000, but at that time it was fortunately only a joke about the lame hipster couple that were neighbors in the building.

The only difference is the hipster father on the show wasn’t mentally disturbed. Reality is so much lamer.

They always introduce things as jokes at first.

I loved Mission Hill. Haven’t seen it in ages. I don’t think I’ve ever even met anyone who’s heard of it.

It’s an innocent child being abused by a bunch of psychopaths, people should care.

I mean, what does this even mean? They name the boop after Ellen Page and refuse to buy her Barbie dolls?

I’m seriously curious about what, precisely, they mean to do differently about raising this child. They’re calling her “she”, and she’s just a wee one, so how much can sexuality play into things, really, before puberty?

I mean, obvs they can give her a wide variety of toys to choose from… I recall my mum giving me and my sister a Hot Wheels car set when we were young, but we mostly gravitated toward our dolls, anyway, as statistics show most toddlers, left to their own devices, DO tend to choose the gender-normative toys we would expect them to ~ boys toward mechanical items and fighting games, girls toward nurturing items and creative activities. Outliers do exist, but are statistically very rare ~ so I hope they won’t hold it against her if she turns out to be entirely “cis-normative” (as they would put it).

Isn’t deliberate nonforcing so obsessed as to be gender indoctrination as well? Is there ever a time in which these parents stop thinking about or pushing this stuff? At what point does their child verbalize, “I’m a girl” or “I’m a boy” and these parents will be okay with it…only if it requires drugs and surgery?

She didn’t feel good when going through puberty? Did someone tell her that that’s just common. She felt like being in a costume? Did she not realize that that’s exactly what she was wearing but that it has nothing to do with her gender? She can be a woman who does not like to wear dresses. I don’t get it – how is removing breasts gonna change any of that?

What would happen if a boy wanted to be a boy and a girl a girl?
These parents will sacrifice their kids to appear like good citizens. Virtue signaling sacrifice.

Just waiting for the disappointment and bewilderment when the child reaches for a car or a doll, quite naturally, and in spite of their ‘gender neutral’ nurturing.
