Doesn’t the counselor signing these letters have an ethical and legal responsibility towards the individuals receiving these letters? What if the individual later regrets their decision? Who is then held legally responsible?
Maybe you have to sign a waiver on the spot. Which is unethical.

Or, maybe they have insurance. Like how a Pharmacist or Doctor has incase of malpractice or mismanagement or drugs, etc…?
