We stand at a precipice. On one side is “reality”: the original, authentic, lived human experience. And on the other side is the metaverse: the world of constantly mediated experience. In the middle is hyperreality, that blurry space between the real world and the mediated world. And, living as we do on this side of the electronic media revolution, it is the only place we have ever known.
More and more people are going to go there because real humans are big a**holes.

I went outside yesterday and found gemstones in my backyard though my backyard is rather large, there are still things to see while not online. Go look at some stars and other things. The sky looks better in person. I’m from the net with nerds who didn’t wear tshirts saying they were a nerd and when they called you a nerd it wasn’t a compliment. We were all friends in the fight and going to Vegas once a year was not met with a bunch of a**l self absorbed businessmen. You came home with some great stuff too.
