Easy.
The things we make illegal and that are immoral are the actual harms.
The creation of child p**n harms the child. Cameras, lights, beds, rooms, and other things do not in and of themselves cause harm; it is the person using them in the production of child p**n that cause harm.
Guns themselves are tools, not unlike cameras. Guns can be used to commit crimes, murder, and injury; but can also be used to defend against those things, or put food on the table.
