Easy.
The things we make illegal and that are immoral are the actual harms.
The creation of child porn harms the child. Cameras, lights, beds, rooms, and other things do not in and of themselves cause harm; it is the person using them in the production of child porn that cause harm.
Guns themselves are tools, not unlike cameras. Guns can be used to commit crimes, murder, and injury; but can also be used to defend against those things, or put food on the table.
