It should read “single parent homes”
A minister in France told us the same recently. The very same minister owned several homes, that were used to live but for holidays too. The problem is not really that people live in individual houses, but the want us to live in their smart cities so it would facilitate the process of surveillance.
I’ll live in a dirt cave before I live crammed into their tuna can “smart” but truly dumb apartments. Humans were never meant to live without nature crammed together on each other like ants.
It pisses the beast off to think that there are still sane humans out there somewhere, far from all this madness, continuing thousands of years of normal human behavior.
My husband and I live off grid in a very pretty tiny house we built on a bunch of land. Our city dwelling friends can’t wrap their heads around it and make fun of us for the manual labor we love to do on our land…until they come to visit. They’ve all said some version of “ohhhh I get it” once they get down our half mile driveway and see that we live half outside surrounded by nature. None of them would ever put the work into it themselves, but it’s insane to me how they think that what we’re doing is crazy, when in fact they are the ones living in a delusion of safety.
Iliketrees this is my dream. I’m currently a teen, growing up in what started as a fairly rural area, but everything’s being developed right now. The last open field adjacent to our neighborhood is about to be made into a crammed subdivision with over 220 houses- all five feet apart or less. And the proposed quality of the buildings is garbage. Couldn’t imagine living in a city full-time.
