Maverick is undoubtable going to set several box office records and for very good reason.
I can’t remember the last theater experience where I had this much fun and was so emotionally engaged. I laughed I cried. I have talked with several people whose theater had minute(s) long standing ovation at the conclusion. It is really that good.
Hollywood makes a lot of crap but this movie does EVERYTHING right. Incredible edge of the seat action with very little CGI while also telling an amazing story that works on many different levels.
This film is actually anti-woke. It is the first movie/show I’ve seen in a very long time that doesn’t portray all of America and all white males as evil, idiot morons that are the scourge of the planet.
There is a strong female character beautifully played by the actress who is “one of the guys” while still being a woman and is not elevated above the men just because she is a woman.
There is no ageism in this movie either. The “old guy” uses his experience and wisdom to teach the young guns (super talented and arrogant but necessary arrogance due to the nature of the job they perform) in ways they could not even fathom in the beginning.
Not one character has a false note or takes away from the momentum that just keeps building. Even the “bad guy” commander is not really a villain at all because he believes he is doing the right thing and one could correctly argue he is.
There is a bit of a propaganda element to the movie but it really isn’t that much and I didn’t find it distracting at all. There are real world military elements that are handled smartly and realistically.
The only question I have about Maverick is how it packs so much humanity into the story when the people who created it have a very questionable amount of it due to the things they have done to get to the place on the pyramid they exist.
Do yourself a favor and see this in IMAX – forget about the concerns of the world for a couple hours and let hollywood do what is does best when it works – take you on a magic carpet ride. You will be in a better mood than when you went in guaranteed. I was buzzing for 2 days.
If I see another ad for this movie I’m gonna vomit.
It sounds like you’re watching too much tv.
Watch this movie instead for a well needed attitude adjustment
If it’s a good movie then ok. But Tom Cruise is one of those actors where I can’t stand looking at his face for long periods of time. I don’t mind looking at him when he was much younger but his eyes now are completely soulless and it’s very creepy.
My best theory about Tom Cruise is that he is a Multiple Personality whose lead altar is the movie star.
This is a great movie not just a good one.
I watched several promotional pieces he did for this film and he comes across as a very personable, funny and actually likeable person (as opposed to the Oprah interview where he was just weird)
His movie character Pete Maverick is extremely likeable, with a lot of dimension and also extremely well acted.
I would bet his deeper altars are very dark, ugly and demonic.
The only problem with that theory is that mind control programming starts breaking down around age 30 – he is well past that. If he were just full on demon I don’t believe the humanity could ever be apparent.
Like I said before it is surprising how much humanity they pack into this movie when the key people making it have very questionable humanity.
Tom Cruise was replaced/cloned multiple times.
That is very possible. It would explain how he can seem like a much more normal person now than several years ago
After thinking about this a bit I now think the real Tom Cruise was replaced with a look alike.
He is too old to have multiple personalities still intact. And unless cloning has advanced light years in a short time I don’t think he can be a clone. When I was researching it clones are used sparingly and do not have a lot of capability.
The current Cruise has many different pilots licenses, does all his own stunts which can be quite harrowing – things I don’t think a clone can do and comes across as a down to earth somewhat regular person.
I think you are correct that he has been replaced but with a look alike.
This movie is just military propaganda to hype Americans to go to war. I won’t be surprised if it was financed by CIA like Zero Dark Thirty.
This movie is a recruiting tool for the military just like the first one. The U.S. government actually paid Tom Cruise to make these movies for them. Recruiters are actually standing around the movie theaters recruiting people who see the movie. It is complete propaganda!
notice that the movie didn’t show the satanists, pedophiles and transvestites who are in charge of the military these days who send naive, young men and women to their deaths while defending oil and poppy fields for the 1%. The U.S. military doesn’t die defending Americans. They die defending the satanic globalists and their heroin!
There is always going to be military and wars. If there is one thing about human history it is full of military battles – and yes the puppeteers are pulling the strings on both sides and profiting from every war they manipulate.
But there are still human beings in the military – Pawns In The Game. This movie is a sympathetic ode to those who chose to do the battles.
To me this film captures in a magnificent way the humanity of these people that although are devoting their lives to “unjust wars” are none the less extremely brave and worthy of appreciation for their valor and dedication.
Would you prefer living under the taliban an insanely extremist religious cult that hates women?
If not for the American military we would be living much different lives very likely much more horrible lives under some ridiculous dictator mad man.
The world is rapidly spinning completely out of control. The military has been entirely hijacked by demons where before it was only partly demon possessed.
Some of the soldiers are still extremely brave and dedicated to human freedom loving people. But they are just pawns being moved around a checker board.
This movie is a great escape that reflects the best of what humanity can be within the military.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with inspiring young people to want to become military pilots. It is an amazing job. Knowing the truth about the world doesn’t mean you should become nihilistic and think there is no point in trying to have a good life and achieve stuff if you want to.
Have you noticed there are several cowards that frequent this site whose sole purpose seems to be going around down voting everything they don’t like.
They are cowards because they never offer a reason for their actions they just hide behind the internet and cast judgement
