Cybernetics and AI, these are very potentially dangerous pieces of technology. Sure, you could have an amazing way to help people with disabilities by giving them artificial limbs or grow food without worrying so much for your crops, but you also open the floodgates for a future that would make Orwell’s and Huxley’s books combined look like a fairy tale.
Every new discovery brings the potential for new good and evil acts, but when should we draw the line? Now seems like a good time to do so.
