Scorpions "Virgin Killer" album cover (circa 1976)

The Scorpions are a rock band formed in Germany in 1965.  Scorpions (band) wikipedia

The album “Virgin Killer” is their fourth major release under RCA and features a prepubescent girl posing completely naked.  Quite controversial to say the least.

The graphic on the album also features a “glass fracture” covering her v****a (censored here).  The uncensored image is still in the album’s wikipedia page although it can constitute as child p*********y for some, viewer discretion is advised.

The title of the album is “virgin killer”, obviously alluding to the childs innocence lost to pedophilia but the band insists it is a reference to time being the killer of “innocence” (virgin being a slang word for innocence).  This story may hold true though …

The band issued a statement a while back to address the controversy stating that there was an RCA executive who pressured the band and the label to keep the cover although the band vehemently hated it.  The cover idea was not theirs and this RCA executive made it happen.  You can read about it here.

This is definitely a stain in the bands image that will carry with their legacy to the end.

Stay vigilant.

I have their greatest hits CD due to the song Winds of Change… I thought they were better than this!

Wasn’t winds of change made by the ¢|∆? I looked into it a long time ago so I didn’t remember the specifics but years later some dude made a podcast and they gave all credit to him (ignoring others reported it earlier) and later they ripped on him and said he was crazy.. see how they build credibility out of one of their possible people then rip them down to make it look like just some crazy guy to eliminate anyone talking about it in depth

Hm

Winds Of Change was released during the days of Perestroika, and the CIA had it pushed up the German charts to help promote the idea in the national consciousness that the fall of communism – and the Berlin Wall – was inevitable.

Titles of scorpions songs (I used to be a fan):
In trance
Taken by force
Hit between the eye
Black out
Rock you like a hurricane
Winds of change (expession used by George Bush in his speech about the NWO)

If this is not MK ultra what else is?

I agree Rosey. Interesting that the RCA exec pushed this predatory image through.
RCA should be required to answer for this inhumane crime.
For any and all of our artist/musician friends out there: Do not trust record label execs! This cannot be emphasized enough.

Yeah RCA made them do it. Did you know most album covers are created before making of the album. Guess they lied
