Ironically, it’s not nor has ever been intended to be a democracy.
Just goes to show how ignorant we, the ppl, are and have been.
“Democracy” in it’s Greek roots means “power to the people”. We are, therefore, absolutely living in the Twilight Zone.
Even more ironic, considering that we, the ppl, have no collectively clue on what power is, let alone how to wield it. In fact, power without accountability is willfully given to others.
The powers that be truly laugh at the general public. And they’re not necessarily wrong about it, which is the worst part.
