Wow, good catch. Certainly intentional.
The symbol is supposed to be the Compass Rose which is used in nautical charts. Symbols like these have been used as far back as the 14th century. Maybe NATO sees themselves as navigators to humanity’s best future.
@Dan extend your logic. The sw*stika symbolizes the position of the Big Dipper mapped around the North Star at the four seasons, which makes it much older than the 14th century. So, if anything, the Compass Rose is also based on the sw*stika.
I’m sure both groups do (and did) see themselves as “navigators to humanity’s best future.”
The swastika (no asterisk; what was that about?) has been around for many centuries and can be found all across Asia and Europe. Although NATO and NatSoc probably have some common roots, why does the ancient symbol have to be demonized? Do you hate the Cross just because Joel Osteen and Pope Francis still display it?
Unless you also think I have a problem with the Big Dipper, you’ve misunderstood the point I made.
Dang. That’s news to me.
Phenomenal catch!
The mark of the beast is an X with a circle around it (Mark of Cain). if one turns it 90 degrees it is a plus sign with a circle on it. How many companies have a + at the end of their names? Templars is a plus sign and not a cross, Rosslyn Chapel Window, Skull & Bones logo (Skull is the circle & the bones is the X). If one keeps the symbol intact it’s a plus sign with a circle around it.
So the NATO flag has both the n**i symbol in it and the mark of the beast. FFS.
