Gifted and talented education. I was in it from 4th grade until I graduated. I truly believe they were searching for particular types of children. My best friend I were tested at the same time. She was remarkably more intelligent than I was, but she wasn’t accepted for some reason. We would leave regular school once a week and go to another school with the windows and doors papered over so no one could see in or out. I don’t remember anything nefarious in the class itself, but like I said it seemed like they were trying to weed out a specific type of child. Out of my class of ten, three of us are dead. (I am only 38.)
