They need to mention the school name to imply the connection ‘maybe it was her and why’ even though she would have been 17 – so definitely not her.

And sadly as ‘Disappointed not surprised’ says, they are correct. Through their lifetime a straight woman is very high nearing 50% for some of some sort of sexual abuse/assault/rape/etc.
Children of both sexes (no idea of rates there) are targeted by deviants and groomers and leads to all kind of issues disorders (borderline, avoidant, etc) and frequently influences their sexuality and behavior growing up.

Think back to your younger teen years (middle school)…. most of the groomers you have ever encountered were older men targeting the young girls at that age.
