This is an attempt to keep a facade of normalcy up for the billions who took the shot and are terrified of the implications, but cannot allow themselves to believe tptb could EVER do such a horrible thing purposely.
The narrative is, essentially: we had no choice, the threat to the entire world was so dire we had to act immediately, but look! It only affected a relatively small percentage of people – yes, terrible, terrible, but we had no choice – and now, look! We are doing our “due diligence” by looking into this now that it’s been around for long enough and the related deaths can’t really be denied anymore (we can’t cover up absolutely all of them) so continue to Trust Us™ because you know we had no choice! Just imagine how much worse it would have been otherwise!
Aside from this, they still recommend getting the booster.
