This feels a little bit like gloating, imo. A little bit celebratory. Drudge has obviously had new ownership for several years, but the trend of tongue-in-cheek headlines and images for stories they aggregate has continued. Why this, in any good faith?
I do not know where the actual pic is from or what it’s original subject was about. But I know that, in Middle TN, by 7am this morning, our temp was actual -1* with windchill -32*. That’s unheard of, even by older outdoorsmen for this area.
Sorry gage…here in Southern Arizona, we will be bbq-ing tomorrow…Almost 70 degrees here!
The picture on this cover was taken at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, N.D.
Thanks for that info. It struck me as snickeringly morbid.
We just went to water and feed (waiting for the warmest part of the day) and even fully garbed up (arctic muck boots, ski masks, gloves, etc) it was frigid. I couldn’t get the latches open on the barn doors, not even after drenching in warm water, hubs had to do it. That said, if *anyone* in this storm’s swath loses their food due to a “power outage” I’m just gonna throw in the towel that anything more can be done for mankind.
It’s windchill of -5 in central NC, which we have at least once a year but it’s way too early. Our coldest month is always February. This may be geoengineered, may not, but you can be guaranteed that either way the idiots “in charge” will try to make it sound like daddy government is the only one who can save you instead of you just being prepared and having a wood stove. Oh and they’ll turn power off like they did in Texas a couple years ago during that fake snowstorm.
drudge is owned by china, hence why i stopped looking at the site
