The video on this link is excellent in showing how child predation grooming happens in the open and our silence allows it and encourages those engaged in such things. Whether you agree with the religious beliefs of the poster or no, please give the video a watch. It’s helpful. We also need to return to trusting our own gut instincts on things like these….it is given for a reason.

Gut instincts: that is so true.
When you find yourself saying, “That’s weird,” stop. Take a moment. You are sensing something is wrong, something your higher level cognitive functions don’t understand. You can listen to your rational brain later, trust your gut and get out of the situation as politely as possible.
Realize that your BS detector is probably busted. If it’s a teacher, a pastor, etc, it doesn’t matter. Go with your gut, get out of the situation now, and analyze later. There are good people in those positions, but there are also evil people in those positions. Listen to what your body is saying, it’s ok if you end up being a little awkward.
