FLASHBACK: The Flaming Lips Show Off Gummy Fetuses (www.undertheradarmag.com)

In 2011, psychedelic rockers The Flaming Lips released three songs on a USB drive that was embedded within an edible, gummy fetus.

The general response appears to have been confusion, shock, and even disgust. However, some comments sections regarding this release reveal folks who absolutely reveled at the notion of literally eating a (gummy) fetus.

It is a curious choice considering the stories we’ve all heard about ‘the industry’ and what it takes to be successful therein…

I’m bummed to read of this. I was a fan of their music during my college years. I knew their work was inspired by “mind expanding” substances but didn’t expect it to turn occultish.

After 20 years of using “mind expanding” substances, I finally realized it’s just opening a doorway for interaction with the 2nd Heaven, aka the occultic realm.

You’ve either been abusing them, or you’re not fit for them. It stimulates your pineal gland and internal awareness and understanding. It naturally brings your “a priori” knowledge out. Use psilocybin entheogenically (as I do) and pray and praise God. Don’t just eat shrooms recreationally and nonchalantly denounce their effects on your mind. It’s also a powerful way to kill the ego. Nothing makes you more aware of your flaws and sins when used responsibly.

“2nd heaven, occultic realm”. Nonsense.
