I agree with Dreher that there is a social contagion that is slowly skewing us toward political and moral progressivism. BUT:
1. He needs to put his man pants back on. He’s given up the fight and is killing morale. Pick up that sword again, or at least stop writing demotivating essays.
2. “Conservative” values are not Christian values, though they do have some overlap. I think a lot of people, maybe even Dreher, are realizing that Conservative Inc didn’t prevent the moral decadence of our society.
Be strong and of good courage. Everyone can do something to spread God’s truth, beauty and goodness in the world.
