A name is supposed to be a gift, embodying hope and promise. Labels aren’t what make individuals special.
Honestly, it would be a great thing to allow children to decide if they want to keep parents given name or change it.
That would make family trees a lot more challenging to research.

Every individual has always had the ability to identify by whatever name they want. The thing is, you can’t force other people to call you whatever you want.
The government should not get involved. The only thing government is good for is violence.
All you have to do is be a good parent and call them by their name, and not Shutterfly.
