I don’t get that impression simply because two are still solidly flying and avian flu, according to government means the whole flock has to get wiped out.

Yes, could be. It was an intentional choice by the artist, but not as clear as the framed photos’ messages. The one bird with a shadow is flying/falling into the man’s head? Very curious.
Im thinking its a fraction. One third dies? Or maybe two thirds die having no shadow. Or crazier yet two thirds are oblivious while the self aware third is crashing. I smoke a lot of chron so take that too.
Looking at it again, it appears to be Iapetus, on of the fallen Tital gods, brother of Chronus and father of Prometheus. Iapetus means “The Piercer” (wasn’t King Charles just painted holding a..sabre? epee?… both of which are used for piercing.)
Iapeter is associated with Japeth, one of the sons of Noah, and is called Father of the Human Race) – (“I brought you in this world…I can take you *out” – many fathers throughout time, probably -mine did). One of the names of his wife is Asia. He and his three brothers represent the pillars of the earth, with Iampetus being the west, until his son, Atlas took over.
So, it seems they’re signaling the festivities for their Schedule For End Time Events and dangling the suspense of their anticipated afterglow, as Iapetus is associated with the dispensing of justice (although most of the internet pretends to not, or just doesn’t know this).

Why do I think this is Iapetus? Because the 4 pillars of the earth are there: earth (volcano), wind/air/space, fire (sun, solar flare), water (ice and melting).

That could explain why mom and dad are sitting on the couch wearing gas masks which little Timmy doesn’t need (but you can’t convince mom and pops of that) sequestered from all other people. Little Timmy is ignored by his extremely “concerned” (yet oblivious towards Timmy) parents as he wears the helmet and sorrowful face of a child of war, without hope nor any reprieve as the world burns around them – “divine justice” – i.e. Grimreaper time. Mostly for the west
