In the movie “Dark City” it features Interdimensional Predators called “Strangers”. Their leader is connected to an “All Seeing Eye” (The Demiurge). A green clock in their domain represents him as Father Time who controls, and a central machine that creates the MATRIX appearing as Saturn.

I’ve watched this movie many times there is lots to see in it. Beyond all the symbolism the Strangers powers are akin to tptb here in that they control the energies of the city and manipulate time lines and move “their people” (mind controlled through high tech) into different positions and different lives within one lifetime
Indeed. My husband and I intend to watch it again to look for more “tells.”
My husband and I watched this movie and think that it is a BIG TELL. Even bigger than The Matrix movie.
They exist in perpetual darkness – the night never ends. That seems to be part of their plan too.

The lower god “Cronos” or “Kronos” is symbolized by Saturn. Kronos is the god of Time. Jesus, the Holy Lamb is symbolized by water. Hence, in Dark City, The Truman Show and even “Lost”, they were all surround by ocean water but unable to escape from hell into it.
Spoilers Ahead:
In Dark City the city was surrounded by an intimidating ocean upon a disc in space for which they were still unable to escape upon learning how to take over their time, does this sound familiar?

I have watched Dark City well over 100 times (that is how important this film is to me) and I missed the key features that you outline above!
You have an amazing eye, because to me Dark City is describing how at the core we are ignorant of our own true spiritual power, accepting that which has been consigned for us to see and experience; and that there are forces that literally are, in one way or another, feeding on our lives and emotions to become alive themselves.
The film’s subtext that true love is beyond appearances or ego awareness, is something we all must know is real.

BTW, there’s a video online where Alex Proyas-the director of Dark City- talks about and illustrates the similarities between Dark City and the Matrix. Unfortunately, it seems that someone allowed the Wachowski Bros (now sisters, there’s another topic for VC fans) to see an early cut of the film. Proyas hypothesizes that the Wachowski’s stole the best of his ideas and sets and used them in the Matrix. Judging by the Wachowski’s output since the Matrix it makes alot of sense.
