He teaches psychology and had the kids think what would they do differently if they were to die in 24 hours from school violence. A student got upset and he was fired. They wouldn’t even tell him why he was fired which means teaching kids how to actually think is a no no.

Fox News reporter shows her slant and I disagree. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with this, in fact, I think it is helpful. Imagine, while in safety. What might you do? What might you do differently? What is your life worth and how might it impact others? Your loved ones. Ones who deeply love you.
In your immediate life and longterm choices? Can’t have kids thinking like that, can we?
The societal cattleprodders, who censor this, use heavy emotional slams all the time in entertainment to hammer their point. They are the only ones allowed to tap into our creative sides to make us think?
I believe they are taking away living and causing social castigation from “wrongthinkers” in gauged steps to drive further mass obedience.

Entirely agreed. Maybe he could have chosen a better way to frame it, but we live in a culture which wants to pretend that none of us will ever die. The least that can be said about this attitude is that it is psychologically unhealthy.
That does seem to be a very new social contagion – this idea that, “if we only do this and that” we might avoid death. As if death is not a normal human lifecycle, a rebirth into the spiritual realm.
Maybe inappropriate. Was his purpose to stir up fears in his students so that they’re good leftist toadys who demand gun control? That’s inappropriate.
I miss old school teachers who knew how to push your boundaries into new and fruitful thought. This kids can’t handle a lesson like that, but we could’ve. They’ve had suicide pumped into their psyches and are trained to be so self centered…considering the temporary nature of life likely sent many of them into instant depressive spirals. We are likely gonna end up opening our own independent schools where good men like this one can help our children truly build their minds and character. I applaud him for trying.
Agree with you gentlemen. This was certainly inappropriate. Although I agree that safety measures need to be taught, writing your own eulogy is over the top. These children are just beginning to live.
They should also teach the kids “what would they do differently if they were to be forcibly married off by their religious conservative patriarchal father”.
This is teaching kids to be reactive and not think. This will enable a generation of people whom will alert authorities to people thinking outside the narrative.
There was a school bus driver facing 29 counts of child endangerment for teaching kids to stay in their seats and the importance of it in case there was an accident.
