Artificial Biomimicry-Inspired Tail

This invention is inconvenient for the human cerebellum. One of the tasks of the human cerebellum is to stay in balance. This invention makes the task of the cerebellum lazy and the person who uses this invention would most certainly start to develop balance problems imo.

Hopfully people with serious balance problems can benefit from this tech but I have a feeling a bionic tail will be big with the furry type crowd lol

What do you think?

You’re spot on with the shift of balance……parallel issues occurred during the “corset” years of the Victorian years, where the back, abdominal and shoulder muscles weakened due to the corset ‘doing the work’ of supporting the body…..

….looks to me like more ‘junk in the trunk’…..

Best….

Neat. Looks like a cool exo body tool. Nobody gets up in arms over the limitation of eyeballs and using a telephoto lens.

A machine that enhances human anatomy is quite different from a machine that augments it. Postman said that new technologies are inseparable from the ideas behind them. A tail that helps you balance also gives you the form of an animal. Since there are many ways to fix a balance problem outside of a tail, whoever chooses the tail chooses to be more like an animal.

The idea behind this technology is that “our bodies are insufficient and must be augmented with animal parts to work properly.”

Much of the best engineering emulates nature. AI included. You know you have a tailbone right? However we came to be in our current form is a mystery, but there was probably genetic tinkering being done in the not too distant past. Regardless, our bodies are still distinctly animal but with that pizzaz of human special sauce. Tech augmentation is just an extension of that special sauce. Like having a calculator. Or telepathy device in your pocket.

Y’all are already cyborgs but loathe to admit it.

Keeping coping doomers. I’m going to play with these awesome toys AND tread carefully against the technocrats.

I bet this was inspired by their “god”. I hear it will come with a special accessory, a pitchfork.

Can’t wait for the cloven hooves.
