Does this mean the race for the first woman to complete BUDS is back on?
Sorry to hear about all this, but glad he got his head straightened out some.
I was part of an “invite only” female veterans group on Facebook when he “came out” and the group wanted to invite him. I left the group shortly after – not sure if he ever joined. I am not a hater or a bigot, but the point of that group was for female veterans to discuss issues pertaining to being a female and a veteran. His issues were completely different. I gave up on facebook altogether shortly after, and haven’t missed it.
I also knew some seals who had served with him (some pretty high ranking ones, too) , and most of the seals seemed okay with treating him like a woman after he retired. I think there is a reason why Obama elevated the seals to such a high status during his presidency – exclusively over other special ops units. Many of the high ranking seals I knew were very “leftist” in their thinking and mindset, and very socially liberal. The green berets and rangers seemed more conservative. Of course, this is just the folks I met and so all anecdotal. I served 20 years. I was not in special forces personally.
