Also looks like a napkin that is used to drape over the heads of those who eat..Ortolan. It’s an almost ritualistic relish. Custom dictates that the diner eats the bird while wearing a napkin over their head; this, it is said, is to ensure the rich aromas do not escape while the gourmand chews the bird, bones and all, a process that lasts for several minutes.

These tiny birds—captured alive, force-fed, then drowned in Armagnac—were roasted whole and eaten that way, bones and all, while the diner draped his head with a linen napkin to preserve the precious aromas and, some believe, to hide from God.

You have finally explained the dining at Pemberley scene in Lost In Austen to me. They didn’t wear the napkins over their heads, but the three tiny birds in triangle configuration were bizarre.

Even worse:
2. Then they’re kept in the dark for a month or so to be artificially fattened (believing it to be night time, they gorge themselves on oats and millet). Often they’ll have their eyes poked out, so they won’t try and fly away.

Armless, dressed like a clown, and eating the book inside page for the novel Don Quixote. Wow, there are some sick directors, editors, and photographers traumatizing viewers while putting traumatized models/celebs/artists/athletes on display.

Interestingly I saw it on a mags page selling other crappy “high art” fashion magazines.

Scroll down. You are never far away from kids with these people.

The last one just messes with your brain. It looks like an adult french-kissing a baby. Absolutely insane! It really hurts knowing they made the shot purposely.

Don Quixote is a metaphor for innocence, naivety. To me the pick suggests feasting on the innocents, the children. …just corroborating this one to the previous other few picks

It’s insane! …and then again, there is everything purposely placed. I’ve seen so many crazy things in movies and music videos lately… it’s all there, their preocupation, their agenda and they are showing it and braging it with and so many good people still in dennial
